I was referred to Dr Yuan by my dentist as I needed an impacted wisdom tooth and what I like to refer to as a “possessed tooth” that no amount of painkillers could resolve, removed. I called to set an appointment and was told it would be just a couple of days before I could get in for removal…the first appointment for consultation and then arrange for time and day for extraction….I had wanted to get in that day as I had had a sleepless weekend. I’m sure I sounded disappointed. Melissa from the office called back a couple of hours later and said they should be able to do the extraction in the afternoon after the morning consultation the next day! I was thrilled. Then, this morning she called and said “if you can get here right now, we should be able to do everything, all at once….even she was surprised how quickly I arrived. Everything after that went as planned and I think I was in and out(2 teeth lighter)in about 2 hours. The coordination of Dr Yuan, Brian (great guy that did my consult) Melissa and the rest of the staff handling my insurance benefits and the figuring best, cost effective way to proceed, along with going over post op care, was incredible. My daughter had to have 6 teeth pulled and Dr. Yuan and his staff made the experience as painless as possible. The office is clean and comfortable. Front office staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Yuan has an amazing bedside manner. He explains everything and goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable.

I had a very positive experience having both upper wisdom teeth removed at the same time. Like anyone else, I was nervous before the procedure. However, once the doctor began the work and started the necessary steps, I calmed down because I could sense his confidence. That same evening, Dr. Yuan contacted me to check on my condition and answer all my questions. It was a pleasant experience, and I will recommend your clinic to people I know.

I found them by going to my dental insurance site. My first experience at the consult was extremely informative and caring. They walked me thru everything. I had my dental surgery yesterday and it was very smooth, efficient from start to finish. Every step is explained. If you are like me and need sedation to do these procedures, I highly recommend them. They even made sure my caretakers (my parents) were comfortable while waiting.

My husband and I both had a great experience at Florida Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of Dunedin. Dr. Yuan was kind, knowledgeable, and made the entire process smooth and efficient. We’re both very anxious about procedures and clinical settings, but the preparation was quick and easy and it honestly felt like I blinked and the surgery was already done. Recovery was very manageable. The first few days came with some swelling and soreness, but by one week post-op I was back to eating normally and enjoying my regular activities, including the gym and sports. My husband had all four wisdom teeth removed and healed very quickly; I had three removed and also recovered well. If you’re sensitive to pain medication (like I am), you may experience some stomach discomfort. I weaned off mine after two days post-op. Sleeping upright, using ice packs, a heating pad , and limiting dairy (as this added to my stomach irritation) were incredibly helpful during recovery. Highly recommend Dr. Yuan and his team!
